Zero Emission Medium- and Heavy-Duty Vehicles:
A Knowledge Hub for fleet owners, operators, and decision-makers
A Knowledge Hub for fleet owners, operators, and decision-makers
This Knowledge Hub informs the adoption of zero-emission medium- and heavy-duty vehicles (ZE-MHDV). The aim is to help de-risk the adoption of ZE-MHDV in Canada by providing informative educational tools, feasibility assessment, and access to best practices.
The Hub focuses on medium- and heavy-duty vehicles (Classes 2B to 8) and their utilization over a wide variety of freight and municipal contexts. Two types of ZEV technologies are evaluated: battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles (HFCVs). ZEV technologies are compared against Conventional Diesel and CNG.
The Hub integrates three main components: Best Practices Archive, Market/Stakeholder Needs and Perspectives, and Feasibility Assessment of ZE-MHDV across various applications.
We would like to acknowledge support from Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) under the Zero Emission Vehicle Awareness Initiative (Medium- and Heavy-Duty Vehicle Stream) PCA-082.
